Two Trees At Christmas Poem by Winston Harding

Two Trees At Christmas

As you behold your Christmas Tree
Decorated with all the glittering colors of the rainbow,
Behold the Second Tree.
Behold the Tree with the open arms
Of the Lord Jesus on the Cross.

Behold Him and come to the realization
That Christmas is about the birth
Of the Holy Child. Search the Bible
For the truth; get a hold of yourself.

Please, I appeal to you across the globe
Get to the reason for the gift of Christmas.
It is all about Jesus Christ, it is His
Birth we are celebrating. Yeah, away in a manger,
No other place would be right, for the Son of God,
The Son of Man to be born in. It had to be this way.

In lowliness He touched the lives of the poor
And the rich. Those wise men had to bring
their rich gifts, just as it should be done today.
If they care; if they are empowered, for unto us
A Child is born and the government of nations
Shall be upon His shoulders.

As we behold the Light of Life, let us adore Him.
Let us sing songs of praise and adulation.
Let us start to treat others with love and respect,
Just as He taught us. So, unto you, my wish is that
When you look at your Christmas Tree, you also
Behold the other Tree, the Forever Tree of Life.
