United Nations Finally Together! Poem by Winston Harding

A world strengthened by the final absolute
Vote; United Nations Security Council.
Yes, September 27th,2013, the full Body of the
Council voted, rightly so, for Syria to remove
All chemical, poisonous gas weapons from its arsenal.
Although civil war rage, yet this action is absolutely right.

Nations must stand together for peace, progress and properity.
Enough food in the world for world population,
Yet starvation across the globe seen; why?
For peace to be given a chance to reign,
Hope must take front seat of envy, greed,
Covetousness and pride. Faith and humane
Undertakings should lead the way.

Love and wisdom enjoining people of consciousness
Must be used to bring citizens in prayer, music,
Entertainment, sport, science, and in social media.
Grant that action seen in the United Nations
Headquarters be carried to nations, to communities,
To communicate peacefully across the globe.

Be of oneness in relating to the effectiveness
Of this moment in time as people of the
World Body signatures held firm for peace.
May love and faith be the vehicle that
People use to keep hope alive in relationships,
Now and forever. To a world of peace
And prosperity I pray. So let it be.
