Two Faces Poem by Rajesh Thankappan

Two Faces

Rating: 5.0

I view my weaknesses
With a sense of joy
For I can improve upon them
To create in me a better alloy.

I view my strength
With a sense of fear
For I have to live up to expectations
And invariably deliver.

I view my strength and weaknesses
In two conflicting ways
Is that my strength?
Or my weaknesses making foray?

view my strength With a sense of fear Truly, one should not be over confident of one's strength.

This is the right balancing act of the mind that prevents one from growing over confident and also creating in him the desire for making improvements! It is never a weakness! A pithy write!

So wise to be able to rejoice in our weaknesses is a sign of moving forward with the challenge to improve, where our strengths come easily to us but we have to live up to expectations! Great write!

To be able to view one's weaknesses with joy is a great achievement. What you have described in the poem, the two conflicting ways, is a very positive sign of a healthy mind. It is not your weaknesses getting an upper hand. Well written short poem that is very purposeful.
