Two Deaths Poem by Mario, Lucien, Rene Odekerken

Unusual but true
I have died two deaths
one through illness
and one through crime

For the one through illness I saw it coming
but I had to wait for a long time
because the illness dragged and dragged
till it finally won that painful battle
and I was gone

But for the one through crime
I didn't see it coming at all
for time didn't have enough time
to warn me that death was on his way
Time couldn't for see my death
because the time the bullit needed to kill me
was to fast for time to let me realize
that my life was ended
