Tunnel Vision Poem by Ima Ryma

Tunnel Vision

Down a dark tunnel I do roam,
Had drank too much back at the bar.
Am in a hurry to get home,
Shortcut through tunnel and less far.
Glad that the tunnel has no bend,
So I should see some light ahead,
As I keep moving to the end.
I remember some quote that said
Like a dark tunnel, life can be.
Keep moving to a better place
Where light at the end, one can see.
Somehow this doesn't fit my case.

Finally, I see the light,
Hear train whistle, all is not right.
