Standing on the edge of darkness
Looking for the sun
Trying to make some sense
When something senseless was done

Looking for some answers
Trying to find a reason why
Someone that you cherished
For some unknown reason dies

You want to how
You want to why
You can feel the heartache
That just makes you cry

But there comes a time
When you must accept
That your life still goes on
With wonderful memories kept
