Everyone may tell you who to be and how to live your life
They may tell you that you are too different
But you wanna know something
Never stop being you
No one can ever make you change who you are
No one can make you be different
Yes maybe sometimes it is hard to not be wanted
For people to walk by you
I know what it’s like to be picked last
I know what it’s like to be ignored
to be invisible
To not have a name
But you should know this
you are always loved
it may not seem like it
but you will always be loved
it may seem like a lonely road
but if you truly look hard
and if you keep going
you will always see that there is someone to help
someone to lift your spirits even if for only moments
You just gotta be you
you have to accept who you are
though some days may be tough
you just have to push through those days
Because you are tough
because you are amazing
and nothing
nothing
will ever stop you
from being you
people may try to hide it
they may try to pull you down
but you just gotta keep pushing keep trying
and yes every single day will be hard
but you never stop
you always keep trying
and I don’t care that it hurts
Because I know it does
suffering everyday
I know it hurts
the pain of never feeling loved
the pain of thinking that you will never find love
you will never be loved
the pain of losing something
someone
I know this pain
I have suffered through it
The pain of loving someone
and knowing that they will never feel the same way
The pain of watching them fall in love with another person
and watching them be happy with someone else
while you are standing at the sidelines
watching
Watching as they fall in love
and then get their hearts broken
and you always being there to comfort them
to be the shoulder to cry on
But you know what?
I survived
I am still pushing
I am still going
because I decided that no one could hold me down
that no one will ever be like me
that no one could ever tell me I can’t
because I can
and you can too
all you have to do
is come out of your shell little butterfly
because it’s time to show off your colors
because it is time to fly
And the only person who can ever tell you no
is you
the only people worth your time
are the ones who will lift you up
who will always be there
the only person who deserves your love
is the one who is always by your side
the one who will always pick you up
the one who is always standing on the sidelines of your game cheering you on
Because they know you are worth it
Because they think you are amazing
so pick your head up
and keep standing tall
and keep on trying and pushing
and always know that there are always people cheering for you on the side lines
because you are loved
and never think otherwise
