When i close my eyes
I see the current of time
And what flows inside
This troubled mind

No I don't know
Why we try so hard
To hide the truth
Behind our live

I don't understand
This so called Promised Land
I can't decide to take a chance
And make a stand

Or why it bothers you
Just to hear the truth
I guess what you believe
Isn’t really you
Where have you been
That I haven't been too

Yet still you fail to see
The substance
Of my dreams
The strength in my beliefs
And for my pain and fear
You show no empathy

I want you by my side
My soul can't hide
This injustice you deny
And hear I feel so alone
Falling to pieces inside
