The man, Manmohan Singh,
A famed Indian earthling,
Now continues as king –
Most Indians happily sing!
Prime-minister is lord,
For saving Nuke accord,
By fighting every odd –
George Bush too does applaud!
The world was watching him;
He stood defiant, grim;
His work was turning dim,
Altho’ he looked so trim.
The Left had left the group;
Put UPA in soup;
The Congress wondered if
It could reset the tiff!
The Left was not now right;
Found UPA hope-light;
The SP helped to fight,
And put entire might!
What confusion prevailed!
The Opposition failed;
The UPA smooth-sailed;
Manmohan Singh was hailed!
Lallu’s speech was superb,
With action-mixed nouns, verb;
Pranab did lovely talk;
UPA had cake-walk.
The Left was left in gloom;
World heard the winning-boom
Of Manmohan, still ‘groom’
Of nation free from doom.
Although it looked like fun,
And many spoke with pun,
Democracy had won;
More work is to be done.
‘Truth triumphs’, people say;
This was UPA’s Day;
Success was got by Aye’s;
Defeat went to the Nay’s!
The Left had left for good;
It always thought ’tis shrewd;
The tail had wagged the head;
SP turned Robinhood.
The selfish souls are gone;
The Congress is no pawn;
The battle-lines are drawn;
The nation sees new dawn.
Despite some acts of shame,
Despite some trys to maim,
Despite some kind of blame,
Well-ended was the game!
Manmohan Singh now shines;
The Opposition whines;
The citizen now pines
For cheap foods, fuel, wines.
Let Indians open eyes;
Let voters become wise;
Let money not entice;
Free Politics from vice!
Jai hind! Jai Bharat!
Dedicated most respectfully to
Our most beloved Prime-minister,
Manmohan Singhji
