Trust - Trust Undone Poem by William Lees

Trust - Trust Undone

Rating: 4.8

Trust is essential
Between two it is a must
It is the glue that makes two into one
It is the innocents of risk's potential
Matrimony
Trust challenged is consequential,
Playing with a loaded gun
Secrets and lies and lust
Earth to earth, ashes to ashes, dust to dust

The death of trust
Secrets lead the lams to slaughter
The secrets that make one into two and two into none
Matrimony undone
Death of trust never rejuvenates
A hole in the soul filled with mistrust

New life new day
Love robust
Beach, sand and the warm sun
Friendship, relationship makes two into one
Trust is essential but it is gone
Between two it is a must
Matrimony undone

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I took trust for granted; I never realized how much I needed it until with was gone. I have been working for 8 years trying to get it back but I don't think that is possible. When it is gone, it is really gone.
