Truly Whole Poem by Tammy Nicholls

Truly Whole

I sit here waiting
Like I always do
You have that hold on me
Am I fool
To let my heart
Be broken into three
You said last night
Your choice for life
Is to be right by my side
Can I believe these
Words you said
Or have you told me lies
I can not take
Much more you see
I'm not as strong as you
I need your love
Warmth and strength
I need you to be true
There is still doubt
Within my heart
I know my feelings right
That when you do
Come home to me
Will be our very last night
So here I am
Reading my words
Thinking oh how right was I
Now what to do
Where to go
Why did you have to lie
But deep inside
I know I have
That mans heart and soul
We are one
Within this life
We are truly whole
