Truly But Secretly Poem by Dipankar Sadhukhan

Truly But Secretly

Rating: 5.0

No, never I opened my mind,
'I love you badly, my sweetheart! '
My love grew in my heart and it was so kind;
It was like a rose spreading over her earth.

I could not be a storm but be a gentle wind
To carry my love for her so invisibly;
Once if she might know, she must try to find
Why I was so reserved and loved her so silently.

I had nothing to do but to bid her goodbye.
Soon after we departed, Night fell
And like a devil he tried to choke her joy;
Now we're away but our love isn't in hell.
