Truest Of All Things Poem by Steve Santerre

Truest Of All Things

Lovely and divine, the angel’s body in the sunlight
Green dress, dotted white, as the clouds, a most beautiful sight
Once I look up, I see, graceful she is, full of life
The tender gaze changes me, for love, not strife
Shall I cast myself, for love, the truest of all things,
Makes feel a sparkle inside, like doves, we fly with wings
Knowing not where we shall go, or when we’ll get there
That’s the adventure, with you, your beauty so rare
The state in which you cannot fully describe with ease
How you walk and dance through the air, the light breeze…

Pure and soft, showing how much you love me
By my side, the charm in your eyes is all I see
Forever I’ll keep you in my heart
Forever, we’ll never be apart
