True Poem by Steven Rowe

True

Rating: 5.0

The world all around,
As bleak as can be.
Nowhere to turn,
Nor anything left for ye.

Those close, I suppose
Are those who oppose
A world filled with hope
All they do is mope.

Friends you thought you knew,
Friends who are far from True,
You do all you can,
You always bite off more than you can chew.

No matter what is done,
You are only one.
Alone in a place,
Flat on your face.

Those around prevent you from living.
And all you do is keep on giving.
They treat you like ____.
You just live with it.

Here is where you stay.
Yet, this place was never meant for you.
There is a place, not too far away,
A place designed for you, True.

Wherever you go,
The place is near.
It isn't far from here.

It's nowhere special and new.
It's deeply ingrained in someone special and True.

I hate to break it to you...
True is you.
