Tribe Brother Poem by Tobbie WhiteBird Crowe

Tribe Brother

In my dreams
I see you standing
Tall, proud, alone,
Wind free
Happy.

But the nightmare of awakening
Brings your despair.
Wild pride, stripped
As with the land;
Lies dying.

In the mirrored hopelessness
Of your eyes.
