Trees Poem by Brooke Harris

Trees

Rating: 2.7

Trees are our elders
we look up to them.
Their leaves shield us
from life’s harmful rays.
Their breaths are our breaths
as ours are theirs.
They dot and form our land
they are our world.
When we breath in the air
they are there.
Trees are from childhood memories
cocooned in their warmth.
Their greenery is a soft caress
of a loving mother.
Their hard bark is a place
for you to rest your back.
Their outstretched hands
dapple with the sun.
Trees are peace
they are hope.
When you’re down
they are up, supporting you with care.
Their feathery touch gently soothes
the ache and pain away.
Trees are life
both our beginning and our end.
