Transition Poem by Arthur Hummler

Transition

Moving on
is what you gotta do
When someone you love
leaves you
It hurts at first
but gets rewarding thereafter
It strengthens the heart
and build good character
It sounds so simple
but its like swallowing glass
you look into the future
and only see the past
but if you keep on fighting
the reward is experience
no more grief
no more ambivalence
Happiness approaches
memories are good
Mistakes come fewer
knock on wood
