Traffic Lights. Poem by Kevin Hulme

Traffic Lights.

Those Traffic Lights they seem to know, You're in a rush with places to go. A eager hot date, A Blackmail Payment, The Kids all need to be fed. It see's you approach then tells you "No Dice ", then jumps on over to Red. But when sedate and taking it slow, With no particular place to go. The Three Eyed Clown being wilfully mean, Will pride itself with the colour Green. How smug it says by its Olive light, "You'll find it shines both Day and Night" He's quite a Joker our Highway friend, It's all good fun, no cause to offend, But one of these days in such a case, I'm going to Punch it right in the Face.
