Toxic Love Poem by Geet Asher

Toxic Love

Met her at a party,
dancing and vibing to uncover her mystery.

A day came in our lives,
inebriated-was the state of our minds,
slurring all our lines.

Our gazes went upto eachother,
we couldnt keep our hands off eachother.
In no time we were head over heels for one another.

Days passed, months went by,
joy was besieged by sadness.
How did we reach this point was complete madness.

Pushing and pulling away from eachother,
Like we were Newton's third law of motion,
Was this how love was meant to be?

Slowly and surely we decided to drift apart,
Like strangers who were never in love.
This was no ordinary love;
Toxic love.
