Tower Ii Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Tower Ii

in the tower
a haunted figure
alone
in solitude
and locked

insane they said
'insane'

but in the brain
there lay sweet
lines, verses and
songs.

and in the night
before the lighted
windows he
carried a candle
he sang and chanted.

insane they said
'insane'
