Touch. Poem by Charles M Moore

Touch.

Rating: 5.0

Let me touch you baby
I've been waiting for so long
my mouth requires tenderness
honey on my tongue
I need to feel emotion
my hearts trapped and ironclad
and the bolts are getting rusty
from the memories I have

Gently whisper to me
sing a song I've never heard
with words that drip like candy
from the cradle of the world
remove my inhibitions
my deciet and alibis
then wrap me in your skin
and stitch the heavens with your sighs.

Sometimes you just need to touch and be touched. We all need it, live for it, survive by it. If there were more touching and loving going on in this world, we'd be in a much better place, emotionally and physically. You hit the nail right on the head with this one, Charlie. Beautifully expressed! Linda :) xx
