Took To Long Poem by Noorjala Ocasio

Took To Long

Took too long to analyze
Just what I was feeling deep inside
The gentle movement of your voice
Opened my mind gave me a choice

Warm me up to cool down real slow
Hold forever promise you wont let go
Chase the twilight of the summers bend
Travel this road of hope that never ends

The journey long, grip to my heart
And remember the words from the start
'Watch your back and never be too kind
For what you lack your love will find'

Just two kids victim of the heat
Now autumn upon us we choose to defeat
The stigma and the old clichés
Figure out a place for us to run away

Warm me up to cool down real slow
Hold forever promise you wont let go
Chase the twilight of the summers bend
Travel this road of hope that never ends

I'll clench you here in my arms so dear
Watch the next passing year
As I wipe away all your tears
And always well conquer all our fears

Took too long to analyze
Just what I was feeling deep inside
