Too Tardy ≪/3 Poem by Kayla Jones

Too Tardy ≪/3

I'm apologizing for letting you down,
For making you think my love would always be around.
If for one second you could realize,
I was always idealized in your eyes.

Though you ignored my feelings,
You always thought you would be my most appealing.
I never thought i’d say those words,
Cunningly flowing through the hall of herds.
Even though you stole my heart,
You always seemed to delight depart.

You never knew you fractured my heart,
With you're not only words,
But actions stabbing me like a dart.
I kept quiet about what I knew,
Because just the thought of it all had made my anger grew.

You wanted to know why,
Read the stanzas and decide.
You're the one being accused,
For lying and making me feel like a fool.
Now you say you are truly sorry,
But I moved on…
Sorry if you were too tardy.
