Tomorrow Poem by G. Akanji Olaniyi

Tomorrow

Rating: 3.0

They say tomorrow came yesterday
Then if we missed yesterday, could we had missed tomorrow?
It is true that time waits for no man
It is true that a second lost can never be regained
But are they not the ones that also said that every man has his own time
His own destiny that can never be changed; even if delayed.
Could they be speaking from both ends of their mouths
To me, it is simply that man must continue to move; whether there is time lost or gained
We crawl, stand, walk, stumble, fall or whatever
We speak, act, make mistakes or whatever.
We learn, become experienced and matured
We move on and become a better person
Whatever will be, they also say, will be.
