I’ve lived in the past, dreaming the future
Fighting hard to understand human nature
I may seem like a fool, but I know I’m wise
I’ve lost you before, but I can’t lose you twice.

You’ve been my dream, clad in a shadow
Without your love, my heart lies, but fallow
I know your strength, I feel your powers
We started as friends, but now we’re lovers.

My queen, my angel, have I said enough?
You’ve given me your heart, expressed your love
What reward can I give for all you’ve done?
Your love remains even when money’s gone.

I sing your name, I dream your frame
With love and smiles, you wiped my shame
I have a story, and you’re a part of it
I promise to love you heart, body and soul.
