i still can't wrap my mind around
the fact that you are gone
and when i try to accept the fact
i'm still convinced i'm wrong

there is no way that you are gone
forever gone away
i can't believe that you will not
live your life today

but when the pain hits again
i'll know that it is true
that you are gone forever
and your time for life is through

but for now i'll delude myself
i hear your footsteps on the floor
the scuffing of your boots
doesn't aggravate me anymore

i'll give you my doritos
and take your hershey's kiss
that yummy great blue slushie
is something we both miss

in time maybe i'll move on
in time maybe i'll heal
but right now i'm still hurting
right now the pain is real
