To The River Poem by Lauren Joy

To The River

Let's run to the river
Where the grass grows tall
And the crickets chirp happily
I'll hold your hand
And we will jump in
Where the water flows cool and free
Let's swim in the river
Where the stones are smooth
And the tadpoles nibble at our toes
The water will wash
Away all our troubles
And I'll be your beautiful rose
