'To The Homes We Lost'

'TO THE HOMES WE LOST'

we were your brethren at the local church
You fed us on the ills of immorality & impurity
The dangers, dents & consequences of such
But did not purge your heart of it's iniquity.

You did justice to every sermon whenever you mounted the pulpit
Making us hunger for God in your flamboyant attire
Not knowing that beneath your flamboyancy is a great filth
Though not visible but destined for the lake of fire.

To the homes we lost to fake Prophets
Disguised as father's & marriage counselors
You turned our sisters to your sex objects
And our men once married bachelor's.

To the homes we lost through police brutality
Insecurity, suicide & stray bullets
Jungle justice, false accusations & mistaken identity
Your innocence, anxieties, nature will never forget.

To the homes we lost through drug abuse
Incompetence & societal pressure
Your faith in God may you not loose
As his consolation is more than a treasure.
