To The Death Poem by Udaya R. Tennakoon

To The Death

I know that
you are behind me
Sometimes I didn't look back
Since the head is so strong

Now I want but silently glance
And I suspect you
Since I have an aim
even I never thought

Unsuccessful things
done by myself
unfinished ongoing messed up works
among many of
one or two dreams
to be corrected, to re work
and to see at least the entrance

If not,
If you are in hasty
I don't you care
I close the door in the dark
light up a candle
And smile
