To Quack Poem by R. C. Welford

To Quack

Ice cream van, parked, at the end of the street,
A giant whippy stood on top. two duck feet,
On the pavement, not the road they stand,
Near the river bank, speckled sand,
Surrounds them. framed by the staggered trees,
Stands the duck that misplaced it's knees.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This one is fairly self-explanatory, but the general gist of it being when I was very young, I was walking in Mistly with my mother and we found to duck feet(and legs) just on the side of the road, as if a car had hit and taken the body of the duck but left it's legs standing. Was very surreal.
