To My True Lover Poem by Gabriel Kwadzo Norvieto

To My True Lover

You enter my life as a treasure
My heart you fill with pleasure
Your love knocks tenderly at my door
I let it in and guess what I saw
A basket full of enjoyment and bliss
Sweeter than in sex and kiss

By mercies and grace
I've won the race
Remembering my lonely past and your presence
I realise a vast difference
Tis only one world
Must together by us be held

Bible says 'seek and you'll find'
You I thought my love can bind
Nothing good comes easy
No wonder you kept me so busy
With you, I saw my life's direction
Not a trace of frustration
