To My Little Sister Poem by courtney metcalf

To My Little Sister

Rating: 5.0

Baby Girl, Please Don't Cry
I don't contain the answers
Wish I knew an explanation that could justify
Justify your tears and all of your unnecessary pain
I'm still trying to figure out why I had to go through the same
Curl up into my lap
And tell me how it hurts
Curl up while I try to decipher your sobbing, muffled words
I want to comfort you
To chase away all the bad
It rips me apart to be the closest you've had to a mom or a dad
It rips me apart to see you fall to pieces To break down so intensely
Immensely shaking
Blaming it on weakness
But you are so strong
You are so independent
One day, you'll look back
And you'll see that you did it
I know you feel silenced
And underappreciated
but your come up is on its way
And your past has deteriorated
And here you are,
And here you stand
Not a girl, not a woman
Just somewhere in the blend
You'll find your voice
When you don't feel the need to fit in
This is a small letter of Hope, from me to you
Our little letter,
A reminder you'll get through
Smile, tough girl
You can make it on your own
If I'm not here,
Call me on the phone
And if, for some unfortunate reason,
I'm not here anymore
Find me in your voice of reason
It's the echo of my way reencouraging roar Love you sister...

One day, you'll look back And you'll see that you did it I know you feel silenced And underappreciated but your come up is on its way And your past has deteriorated And here you are, And here you stand Not a girl, not a woman Just somewhere in the blend You'll find your voice When you don't feel the need to fit in Beautiful in all aspects.. Any reader would feel the same for the kid sister. I wish I had such a lovely kid sister in some point of timeline in my life. I ratecit a perfect 10 dear Sir. Subhas
