To want to know everything about it: it's story, it's past, it's future
To want to know what it looks like in the moonlight
To want to be near it, physically
To rejoice in the life of it
To be transformed in its presence: lifted, lighter on your feet
To want the best for it
To want to be lost in it, joined by it
To fear its lost, and grieve for its injuries
To protect it.
Always.
Desperately.
Fiercely. Mindlessly.
Futilely, and maybe tragecally....
but helpless to do otherwise
