Tired Of The Storm Poem by Jim T. Bean

Tired Of The Storm

Rating: 4.5

Heading to the harbor,
Looking for the bay,
Searching for tomorrow,
Trapped in the turmoil of today.

Grown weary,
Grown tired of the storm,
In need of somewhere dry,
Somewhere warm.

Wrecked and ravaged,
Dashed upon the sand,
Desperate to place my feet,
Upon safe and stable land.

Beautiful poem. Enjoyed reading it many times in a row just for the music and the melody of the words.

I really like how this poem is simple but powerful. You didn't hide behind a lot of unnecessary words, you just came right out with it and I like that. The emotion behind it was vivid as well. Great poem!
