Times Two Cause My Heart To Heave Poem by Aniruddha Pathak

Times Two Cause My Heart To Heave

She assured me she'd come, nay, promised me,
My mind was adrift still on banks, oh waiting—
Ship-wrecked as if in thoughts of life mid-sea,
A state, words can't give even a faint inkling.
And not so brave to bear such times of scare,
Vexed was I— what if she still fails to come—
Troubles and strife returning from nowhere,
And waiting, one gets caught in vain wisdom.

And I lapsed into what and when she'd leave,
If or not would she care to come again,
Oh worse than death was it, one can't believe,
I never knew waiting causes such pain.
Times two wear hard, and cause my heart to heave—
Before she comes, and time for her to leave.

Well, the poet does not know. The point is: poor lover gets unduly apprehensive, such is his anxiety. And anxiety bears negative thinking. Thanks for visiting my poem.
