Time Flies Poem by Pen Anthony

Time Flies

Time is on drive
Now i get why they say time flies
I closed my eyes as the barber sprayed spirit
On my shaved head
When i opened them
He was trimming my beard

When i closed my eyes i was twelve
When i opened my eyes i was twenty four
The most amazing thing about all this is
I don't use the mirrors at the barber shop
He's cut me half my life

As i think of how much time has gone
Like he could read my mind he says
'Time really does fly
Not long ago i cut your hair
Your mum paid for you
Now you're grown up
You even tip'
