Time Poem by Dale Totten

Time

Time is running so so fast
Not like when I was young
Today is here, now it's yesterday
And tomorrow has begun

Seen good times, bad times
Happy times, sad times
Times when tears would not end
Exciting times, fearful times
Sick times, lonely times
Times when I didn't have a friend

But now my time will soon be over
Years have piled on top of years
But I'll be okay, I left my doubt
Back in the time of worry and fears

I've got regrets, like everyone else
More than just a few
But I would not change a thing, you see
They led me to a love so true

Now I'm rested in green pastures
Next to quiet streams
To places of such joy and peace
Before seen only in my dreams

My fear of death extinguished
Love put out that flame
Love that was nailed to a cross
Love that nothing can contain.

Time is time and keeps passing by
where will it go from here
The Father and only The Father
Knows the answer to that for sure.
