Time Poem by Jeffrey Mitchell

Time

Rating: 5.0

Tic, tic, tic, time keeps moving, and I can’t keep up; I looked toward the clock wondering where I should belong? Tic, tic, tic, the third hand goes around and another 60 second turned the minute hand, and still I know not where I belong?
So I turn from watching, but still I hear, tic, tic, tic, and now I try to remove myself from the sound, tic, tic, tic, but everywhere I go the clock won’t stop. How can I escape what’s in me? The tic, tic, tic, began the second I took my first breath, now my time has a forth hand, an alarm.
So as the second’s moves the minutes, and the minutes moves the hour. Tic, tic, tic, until my alarm goes off, so now you should see how urgent it is for me! Tic, tic, tic, has a way to move time, now my hours turned to days, and my days have turned into weeks, and months. Tic, tic, tic, has past years by my life, since my first breath, begun the clock tic, tic, tic.
My alarm went on, in my 40th year, of March on a Thursday in the evening hour.
