Tick-Tock Poem by The Poet Darkling

Tick-Tock

Tick-tock goes the clock as I wait for a call
Markin' days off the calendar on the wall

Waiting and wondering where love could be
Counting the days until ‘I' turns to ‘we'

Tick-tock goes the clock as I sit and wait
Sometimes it's early, other times it's late

Time taking it's time, never fast enough
Who knew waiting for love could be so rough

Tick-tock goes the clock as I dial the phone
I'm so stinkin' tired of being alone

But there's no answer to my desperate call
I guess I'll not have any love at all
