Thy Mystique Eyes Poem by Cathy Phew

Thy Mystique Eyes

As thee speak thy words warilly
with thy resonant voice and thy face unfazed
And as i listen faithfully
for between us there was camaraderie
with mine ears i hear propensity
of thy speech brought out equivocatedly
fastidious to thee is imperative
for then you become a paragon
immaculate ne'er dilapidated

With thy big mystique eyes
that trap me and paralyze me
i see a blatant heart in thee
one that can confide in me
and reciprocate benevolently

If thee want to hide from me
or thee want to lie to me
then close thine eyes, look far from me
for thy big mystique eyes show propensity
of betraying your true feelings of thee to me

Siar i beg of thee
look me not with thy youthful eyes
undaunted, endearing with granite determination
ardent and gallant with luminescent reflection

for they trap me and paralyze me
and haunt me when i try to flee
If thee want to hide from me
or thee want to lie to me..i beg thee
close thine eyes, look far from me
for thy big mystique eyes show propensity
of betraying your true feelings of thee to me.
