Thwarted Steps
Each day is a new dawn
But the barriers are still in place
I am still inside the spiky fence
Waiting for the opening to appear
I am stuck
In the cat and mouse game
Played between me and fate
May be tomorrow I will awaken
With a renewed vision
And behold the fence as shelter
And the game as fun
Till then the show will go on
Like the dance of the planets
Around the sun.
