Thunderstorm Poem by Steven Federle

Thunderstorm

Cobalt fingers probe
naked ground
when explodes
the darkest cloud.

Edge of lightning
searing air
with raucous roil of
heaven’s laughter.

We watch in fear
‘til setting sun
sheds royal tears
of golden love.
