Throwing Money At It Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Throwing Money At It

Throwing money at it.
As if the act establishes,
Empathy, sincerity and concern.

Throwing money at it.
To ease grief and sorrows.
Borrowed from teachings taught,
Throughout generations learned.

Kept emotions and feelings,
Suppressed to address.
Has many still believing,
This to do expresses strength.
Proving weakness can not be detected.
Or attributed to them to suspect.

Throwing money at it.
To remove one's anguish and pain.
Only leaves the receiver reminded,
Their life to live...
With a wish to want recognition to value,
Is not as precious to be known.
As having money thrown made shown.
And done to mend with a healing,
Of broken hearts.
Relationships.
Minds lost to confusion.
And bones to fuse to forget,
The meaning of humanity!
