Through The Eyes Of Love Poem by Ed Homer

Through The Eyes Of Love

I see what others cannot
I seek the knowledge of her soul
For her beauty is tremendous
Yet left in a darkened hole

Others refuse to recognize
Too busy in their inept lives
Scurrying here and there
Perpetrating their lies

She cannot compete against them
She is not a term they use
You must bow to their reason
Or face their relentless abuse

Denied her proper gender
Denied her place in life
If she refuses them
They will wish her to die

Governments full of delusions
Think they can control
Those that make up this country
Inciting a civil war

To demand change of sex
To demand to indoctrinate
Is against everything we are
Its a cult of American hate

Allowing children to decide
How our country should provide
Yet claim they are harmless
Too young to face their crimes

Suicide is our future
Cutting the throat of our lands
All to appease some activist
Who walks among us with bloodied hands

This person who I adore
Is that of my descendants
I hope this country awakes
Fulfilling our country's amendments

She has a right to live
She has a right to decide
Its not your place in history
To allow her to be denied

I will stand behind her
I will encourage her flight
Through this darkened times
Helping her to win her fight
