Three Words Poem by Kay Colwill

Three Words

Rating: 5.0

I really don't think you understand.

You kiss me and then leave.

It hurts more than I make it seem.

You say you understand,
but you don't

I tell you I love you

You simply reply 'I know' and then leave.

You hold me,
kiss me,
but not once have you said those three words.

I know it's pointless.

You will never love me.

You're scared of hurting me?
You're scared of what people will think?

If you liked me, you wouldn't care.

Just Three Words

please

'I love you'

The hardest three to say are the loveliest to hear. Three words....waiting, waiting, .waiting. a fine piece of writing. PEACE
