Thoughts Of My Soul Poem by chip Hundley

Thoughts Of My Soul

Rating: 5.0

I have seen the Mountains in the spring
I have felt the calmness of a rippling stream.
I have felt the warmth of the summer sun.

I have seen the first breath of my new born son.
I have lived days where my work was never done, even if that work was to show you my love.
I have shared happiness, and I have shared tears.
I have shared anger, and I have shared fears.
I have shared Life, and I have shared wishes
I have shared hugs, and I have shared Kisses.

I have shared times, in watching a boy turn into a Man and wondering if he knows that I will be there and where I stand.

All of these things are memories that I hold near in my heart, and it hurts to know that we remain apart.
And here the memories end, never to make new ones ever again.
It’s hard to think that our job was half way done, I wonder what memories that will be had by our youngest son.
We have made decisions that effected so many lives, by not working at our marriage, and remaining husband and wife.
In the end there are two to blame, for a family that will never be the same.

I will miss your smile, and I will miss your love.
And I will think of you often and what once was.
