Thou Art That Poem by Tushar Ray

Thou Art That

This boundless Consciousness that we are part of
Had been depicted by ancient poets as Lord Siva
Lacking an analogy in our universe for comparison
Siva was painted by ways of His mystical creation

Invisible Siva is manifested as love-light-intelligence
The visible reality is only a product of His pure love
But, Siva as the self-effulgent pure consciousness
Remains faceless, ageless reality of eternal existence

Like the playful child having fun in creating games
Siva manifests Himself willingly for fun and glory
His potential energy being kinetic during creation
Like a hibernating snake making move all on a sudden

Out of His glory appears this myriad universe
Like myriad wave appear on the surface of ocean
When energy keeps changing on the ocean surface
Whilst under its surface the water remains calm

Reality of the universe rests on Will of our Lord
As existence of waves rests on reality of ocean
Lord sustains His creation making universal laws
But He stays as enjoyer like a detached witness

Again out of pure fun Lord withdraws this world
Going back to inert state like hibernating snake
As a spider spinning its web in a living art form
Withdraws happily into body again by annihilation

This is how our fleeting universe appear to ensue
By the sheer will of Lord Siva, the Truth absolute
Residing in our body-temple as the Blissful Soul
Leading us to see ourselves, that 'We are That'!
