Those Smoke Filled Days Poem by Millie Fraser

Those Smoke Filled Days

This love that burns,
This love that bites,
This love that torments as i writhe in its spite.
In the bloody mess of my consciousness
My dreams have taken hold,
Clutching and squeezing until my stomach lurches
And double i fold.
If there is an escape from this blissful prison,
This cage of fire,
Lock the door and swallow the key,
Let me burn in my desire.
