A stomach full of gin
A mouthful of vermouth
A handful of olives
Does not a martini make

Yet I keep trying
To drink my way to peace
Which of course
Does not a solitude make

So I ponder what in this world
Works to provide the equation
That holds true
Does not an intellect make

Suffer feel misery and pain
Feel ok enjoy a moment
Take notice of life
Does not a human make

Only god knows these things
Pray for guidance
Hope for answers
Does not a Christian make
