Time In Between Poem by Rick Elpers

Time In Between

Just as the new sun rises
On the eastern horizon
The time laden stars set
On the western horizon
Illustrated on the lines
Of our faces are stories
That capture the truth
Hidden in the soul
You with perfect new beauty
And I weathered from time
Bound inward to the heart
Outward to the embrace
We cling to the sky that binds us
Born in love spinning round
In eternity until the fates
Separate us pulling piece by peace
into being yet again given new life.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
After this season of wonderful love, deeply abiding love, yet to her as a given to end.
